Stephen Lord was born on October 1, 1972, in Salford, Lancashire. He is an actor best known for playing Jase Dyer, in BBC soap opera EastEnders between 2007 and 2008, and Dominic Meak in Shameless.

Personal Life

Stephen is married to Elaine Cassidy. The couple married on December 31, 2007. They welcomed their first child daughter Kíla Lord Cassidy, on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. The baby girl's first name is pronounced Key-la. They live in Greenwich, Greater London. Their second child, a son named Lynott Lord Cassidy, was born around January 23, 2013.


BBC EastEnders violence incident

The BBC defended the use of violent scenes in an edition of EastEnders. In the episode, Lord's character Jase Dyer was seen losing his life following a confrontation with a group of gangsters who stabbed him after brutally beating him up. Later, the character's dead body was seen by viewers in hospital scenes which featured Jase' son Jay Brown, played by Jamie Borthwick.

Casualty domestic violence

Stephen appeared in the BBC drama Casualty in 2010/11 playing the abuseive husband of nurse Kristy Clements in an on-going storyline dealing with domestic violence.
