Kari Corbett was born 1984 in Paisley, Scotland. She is an actress, artist and filmmaker. Karie is best known for playing Ruby Hepburn in the UK version of ShamelessNurse Marian McKaig in ITV's The Royal, Sarah in the BAFTA award winning Jeopardy, and Kristy in David Mackenzie's film You Instead.


Acting Kari began acting at the age of seventeen,playing Sarah in the BAFTA award winning series Jeopardy'.

Kari appeared as Evi Watt in Shetland on BBC 1 in 2014.

Kari recently appeared in season two of CBC Television's award-winning comedy series Mr. D, airing in 2013/14, Rubenesque for Kudos Films and Case Histories for BBC.

Kari's acting work includes Shameless, The Royal, You Instead, Monarch of the Glen, River City, The Inspector Lynely Myteries, Sea of Souls and The Whistleblowers.

UK weekly publication Radio Times named Karie one of the 12 Rising Stars of 2012.


Karie studiet at the Glasgow School of Art and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, focusing on performance art and filmmaking. Kari graduated in 2011.

Kari produced and performed in the experimental short film If Only I Was Simone De Beauvoir. Karie's first experimental video, Uncontrollable Joy for Life, has been screened in various film festivals, including the Chicago Underground Film Festival 2011.
