"NIMBY" is the fourth episode in the eleventh season of the U.S. version of Shameless. It originally aired on January 10, 2021 on Showtime.
Synopsis[]
The Milkoviches move in next door and wreak havoc, leading Frank, Kev and Liam to plot how to get rid of them. Mickey embarks on a new security gig for Kev and V and drags Ian along against his will. V and Debbie turn into stage moms when Gemma and Franny compete in the Little Miss South Side beauty pageant. Lip gets a big surprise when he reluctantly agrees to go to brunch with Tami and her old high school music teacher. When Carl's training officer is overly aggressive, Carl is forced to choose between his job and his neighborhood.
Plot[]
Once Marcos and his fiancé get ready to leave, Lip shuts the door as Marcos voices an attempt to meet up again. Now alone, Tami and Lip discuss the whole situation. Tami voices disgust at what Marcos has done while Lip remarks that it should bring back memories for her and she states she is nothing like the girl. However, the more they talk about it the more she starts to realize it. Tami soon breaks down, as she recalls being left out in her childhood and meeting Marcos. Tami states after her mother died she became vulnerable and realizes that Marcos took advantage of her, becoming disgusted of being the victim of a pedophile. Lip tells her despite the terrible past she matured and found him. The couple share a kiss.
After the pageant, Debbie and Veronica make amends about the whole situation. Veronica is approached by a politician who was moved by her words and ask if she would be interested in helping with his campaign.
Meanwhile Mickey and Ian deliver the money from Kevin and Veronica to the weed bank. The pair are annoyed by the low amount of money but are amazed by all the weed they see. One of the employees of the weed farm sees them, she takes the money and mistakes them for actual army because of their uniforms and offers them a job. Taking advantage of this, the pair lie that they are in the army and accept the offer after they were told about the high amount of money they will receive as guards.
